Project Description

While employed at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium (Sarasota, FL) I was in charge of overseeing the marketing of a coral reef protection fundraising program.

To gain awareness for the program as well as overhaul our branding for the project, I created a photo contest that was promoted to divers and underwater photographers (our target market).

The photo contest allowed us to spread the message about our program, as well as encourage our target market to interact. The contest was also co-sponsored by West Marine stores.

The cohesive promotional plan included:

• Press releases
• Co-promotions with local dive shops
• Print advertisements
• And more
